* Shop Scottish Jewellery retains the right to refuse any order made by you.
Pricing and availability
All prices for goods and services are displayed in British Pound on this Website. Delivery charges are added to your purchase at the Check Out. All prices displayed are subject to change without warning. You may be required to pay extra for delivery and we have absolute discretion not to deliver to some locations. All delivery charges are set out in our Delivery section.
Goods shipped outside of the United Kingdom and the European Union may be opened and inspected by customs authorities and you may be required to pay additional charges when the delivery reaches the specified destination. The Tappit Hen Gallery exclude all VAT charges. Customs policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for further information. Please note that the payment of any import duties, customs charges, local taxes or any administration charges paid to couriers in relation to these fees is for your own account.
The Tappit Hen Gallery will not be held responsible for the payment of any of these duties, taxes or charges, nor will we be liable for any breach in laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined.
From time to time we may offer discount codes to our registered and prospective customers; such codes are governed by the terms and conditions explicitly set out against them. Any discount codes made available for use on the website will be available for a limited period of time only. Such codes may only be applied to purchases of full-price goods and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discounts.
Placing an Order
Please inform us immediately if you experience any errors with your order. All orders on the Website are subject to acceptance in accordance with these terms and conditions. The final details of your order will be set out on the "Check Out" page prior to proceeding to the "Payments" pages. You may correct any input errors in your order up until the point you submit your order to us on the “Payment” pages. We must receive payment in whole for the price of the goods that you order before your order can be accepted.
Contract
Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order. The email we send to confirm your order constitutes our acceptance of a legally binding contract with you to supply the goods detailed within the email

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order acknowledgement email from us at the e-mail address you provide in your order form acknowledging your order, Please note that your order is subject to availability and this email does not constitute acceptance of your order. We are not obliged to accept your order and may, in our discretion, decline to accept any order.

Where we accept your order, we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an order confirmation email that confirms when goods will be dispatched,
You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import and/or other permits to purchase goods from our Website. Should the importation of our goods be prohibited, we make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the import of any goods that you purchase.
Dispatch
Items are dispatched in approximately 4-6 weeks depending on the design.
If we have an item in stock, we dispatch within a 3-5 days.
All Jewellery made by The Tappit Hen Gallery Website takes 4-6 weeks.
Rings and enamelled Jewelley can take 4-8 weeks.
All our Jewellery is hand-made in Edinburgh, Scotland.
We can dispatch quicker and fast-track orders, please contact us if you would like a fast-track.
Shipping times may vary and are subject to availability of stock. You should also factor in any additional time required to complete goods that have been customised or made to your own specifications, such as additional ring sizes. We deliver by Royal Mail Special Delivery (£5) and International tracked and signed (£10)
We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order.
Please ensure that:
* The delivery address you give us is correct.
* There is somebody at the listed address to sign for and take delivery of the goods.
* If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service could not complete the delivery to you for whatever reason, then please contact us and we will arrange a re-delivery.
Ownership of the goods and the risk of damage to the goods will pass to you upon delivery, provided we have received full payment of all sums due in respect of the goods, including delivery charges. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction. We shall repair or replace, free of charge, any goods damaged where delivery has been made by our carrier, provided that you give us written notification of such damage within 7 working days of the date of receiving the goods. For any issues with this please contact us and we will assist you.
If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, please notify us and we will assist you.
If you do not receive items, please contact us and we will follow the entire transit process with your tracking information. Your item is tracked and logged at each stage, therefore it will be easy to get to the bottom of what has happened and fix it. We are here to assist you every step of the way.

The Tappit Hen Gallery and trademarks are registered with the Intellectual Property Office in Wales. All trademarks, designs and RPS prints are protected by copyright law, any attempt to replicate The Tappit Hen Gallery designs, prints and trademarks shall result in legal action.
We also own copyright and registration of Jane North Edinburgh Designs - sold at Tappit Hen Gallery, Jane is one of the Owners and our Head Designer, all the Jane North designs on this Website are designed exclusively for Tappit Hen Gallery, they are currently not sold anywhere else. The designs are protected under the Jane North Edinburgh Hallmark.
Our Scottish Highland designs are copyright protected by each designer.

Currencies
The prices on our Website are displayed and charged in GBP Pound Sterling.
Debit and Credit Cards

UK and EU Sales Taxes and VAT
The prices shown on our Website do not include VAT.

Jewellery that is shipped outside of the UK or the European Union is not usually subject to VAT or international sales taxes in the UK. Where applicable, based on the delivery country that order is being shipped to, we will exclude VAT from the price of your order.
Please note that, as a result of the jewellery being imported to your country, you may be required to pay other taxes or charges locally.
Any local import duties, customs charges, taxes or administration charges paid to couriers arising from a shipment outside of the EU should be paid directly by you as Shop Scottish Jewellery cannot be held responsible for the payment of such charges.

All orders with The Tappit Hen Gallery are processed using an online payment gateway that encrypts your payment card details in a secure environment. Systems are scanned quarterly by an independent assessor and audited annually to ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

Delivery and Returns
All Jewellery is currently made to order, and takes approximately 4-6 weeks, timescales vary on complexity and numbers of orders waiting in the workshop.
If we have a design in stock, we can ship within a couple of days.
We are happy to fast-track orders if a Customer requests by e-mail or telephone.
The Lead-time for our Rings and Enameled Jewelry is currently 4-8 weeks depending on the design.
Please contact us if you would like your order fast-tracked. We are happy to fast track upon request.
Christmas time is our busiest time of the year, please let us know in advance if you would like your design quicker.
Should you require any help with your order or advice on purchasing bespoke jewellery or gift, please contact us and we would be happy to assist you. In order to ensure that your goods arrive on time and safely, we only use our approved services Royal Mail Special Delivery and International Signed For
This means that your shipment is tracked electronically and will need to be signed for on delivery.

Gift Wrapping
Your Jewellery comes in a beautiful Tappit Hen Gallery box.
Shipping Destinations
To the UK
All orders delivered to addresses within the United Kingdom, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Upon dispatch orders are delivered the following day.
International Delivery
All international orders are delivered by Royal Mail International Signed For. Upon dispatch, International shipments typically take up to 7-14 working days for delivery, depending on the destination and local customs procedures.
Further Information
We fully insure each purchase during the time that it is being shipped until it is delivered to you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address you give us is correct and accurate and that there is somebody to sign for and take delivery of the goods from the delivery service used.
After you have signed to accept the delivery of any goods from our approved carrier, ownership for your purchased goods passes to you, if anything happens while your parcel is in transit due to damage of loss, please contact us and we will assist you: shop@tappithen.co.uk
If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service could not complete the delivery to you for whatever reason, please contact us or we will contact you to ensure that we can re-deliver, these things can happen on occasion, we do not mind paying the additional cost.
If you require shipping to a PO Box, please contact us to ensure we use a non signed for service.
Cancellation By You
You may cancel your contract with us for the goods you order at any time up to the end of the 30 days from the date you receive the ordered goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract, however it does help us run our business better if you let us know why.

Made to order designs are generally non returnable unless such goods were damaged or faulty when delivered to you or have been incorrectly delivered. For anything like this, please contact us and we will assist you the best we can. We have returned or re-made designs in the past due to sizing changes, we are here for you if you need assistance with anything.
Orders are refunded immediately upon receiving the item back.
if you require assistance with your Jewellery or gift-ware due to damage after you have purchased from us, no matter the time-frame, please contact us and we will assist you the best we can.
Safe and Easy Returns

If for any reason you are disappointed with your purchase, you can simply return your jewellery by following the Return Instructions listed below.
Ruturns
To return an item to us, please send an email to shop@tappithen.co.uk within 30 days of receiving your item.
For Customers in the UK and International
We will send you a free special envelope to return your Jewellery or Gift-ware.
Please ensure that Jewellery is in the original condition and packaging we sent to you. Parcel it in the envelope and send it back to us. Our address is on the envelope and it is free to send back to us, If you require assistance, you can contact us on the e-mail below:

Please obtain a receipt from the Post Office and save your proof of posting and tracking information until your refund has been processed.
Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser's credit or debit card as soon as we receive the item.
Please note: Items that are made to order or customised cannot be exchanged, however contact us and we can discuss anything we can do for you. It is important that you are happy with your Jewellery.

Exchanged goods can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received by us and have undergone a quality control check.
We will contact you to arrange an exchange once returned goods have undergone standard checks.
Items that are made to order or customised cannot be exchanged.
Bespoke Orders
Unless damaged, faulty or incorrectly delivered, goods that have been customised items are generally not eligible for exchanges or returns, however, please contact us to see what we can do for you.
Damaged Items
All our goods are quality controlled and checked prior to dispatch, we do a 3 person check.
If you need to send anything back to us please follow the procedure below:
We will post a free envelope for you to return the item back to us. Our return address is on the envelope. We are also available to talk you through the process.
Your jewellery, will be inspected, we will repair the product at our expense and return it to you free of charge. We will notify you by email when you can expect the items to be shipped back to you.
Additional Information on Refunds or Exchanges
When the goods have been returned and safely received by The Tappit Hen Gallery, we will notify you by email to arrange a Refund or Exchange.
We request that all goods being returned are shipped back to us within 30 days. Goods must return to us in their original condition and packaging
We shall ask you for confirmation of the date you returned the goods to us. In the event of failure to return any goods to us within the time limits stated, please do contact us to let us know why and we can extend the time for you, if required.
All returns for any particular order must be returned in one shipment. Any subsequent returns from the same order may incur additional shipping charges to you. Please note that, unless shipment of the goods is arranged using our approved courier services as set out above, all goods returned to us are at your own risk until we receive them. Returns received outside the timescales in the contract are at the discretion of The Tappit Hen Gallery.
We do not refund international customs duties and sales taxes shipments outside the EU.
